Sony Handycam DCR-SR62 Not Fully Connecting - Help!

Jul 19, 2007 1:35PM PDT

I just got my Sony Handycam DCR-SR62, and im having no problems accually connecting. I can import video and everything just fine. The problem is the "connecting..." message on my camera screen wont change to "connected" and go back to the normal view...so im stuck with a blue screen that says "connecting..." when its already connected. The problem with all of this is that i want to do a live video chat, and i cant do that unless the camera is connected and in normal viewing mode so the other people can see me. But its just stuck saying "connecting..." when it is connected!! Help me please. Thanks for your time.

Where, in the manual - or anywhere - does
Jul 19, 2007 2:25PM PDT

it say that this model camcorder will provide the webcam function? Many camcorders do not.

I went to Sony.com and looked through the manual... there was no reference to USB streaming or Web Cam or any other appropriate keywords... but the "Marketing Brochure" (page 2), under "Convenience" says: USB Streaming: N/A so it looks like you're out of luck.
