Sony FX7 + Adobe Premiere will not read camera captue

imac, sony fx7, and premiere wont take any kind of signal from my camera at all... ilink convert is set to off and vcr is set to hdv. NEED HELP!

which version of Premiere? For that matter, which version Mac OSX? We are assuming that you are using a proper firewire cable to connect the FX7's DV port to the Mac's firewire port and there is no USB involved anywhere... And the Mac's firewire port is active... and you did not manually change the DV port settings in the FX7.

Oh... and the Power button "VCR setting" is on "Play/Edit"...

... how you connected the cam to the iMAC... and what you did at the opened Adobe Premier...did the prpgram come up automatically when you started play/edit at the cam ?
