sony dvd92 - I want to record from tv/vcr

Nov 26, 2005 8:13AM PST

My husband bought a sony dvd92 camcorder - (minidvd), I want to record from either VHS tape or tv onto the mini disk, and then put it in my computer so that I can take clips from it, put it into Adobe Premiere and make a short movie, obviously with editing capabilities. Has anyone done this with the dvd92? The booklet makes it sound like this kind of thing can't be done, but why wouldn't it?

Can anyone help with these two steps? Recording to the minidvd from VHS and then putting in my computer and pulling parts into Adobe Premiere.

Thanks so much!
