Sony DSC-T9: disable LCD?

Hi, is there an option in the DSC-T9 to completely disable the LCD display during operation?

I spend quite a long time deciding what to include in my shot, so I'd hate it if the LCD was draining battery during that time.. I guess it's always on because the camera lacks a viefinder?

Spending time framing your shot is time well spent.
You should continue to do that.

Consider getting an extra battery.
