Oct 2, 2004 5:20PM PDT

Hello Everyone. Does anyone know the differenct betweenWhat is the difference between the DSC T11 vs. the DSC T3?

Is the T11 only available in the Japanese market? If so, does it come with japanese or english instructions an OS? Does the charger (volt?) matter between the US and Japan?

Is there an advantage of buying a T11 or T3?

Where can I buy a T11 in san diego, CA

There are minor differences between the T11 and T3.

T3
Brighter flash (5.5 feet compared to 4.9 feet)
Burst Mode added
Tripod mount
New LCD - easier to view and has more pixels.
Size/Width - smaller by about 1/2 inch

Can you get a T11 in San Diego? - probably not!

As you noted, the T11 was not released to the American market. Most likely it was a trial balloon for the redesign of the T1. The T3 is the final decision for the redesign.

Breaking News.....

from a photography website:

We've received an official note from Sony US that the slimline succesor to the DSC-T1, the T3 will not be destined for the US. This came as a slight surprise as it was officially announced by Sony US at the end of August. Sony stated the reason behind this decision was that the DSC-T1 was selling well and would have "a longer life than anticipated".

.......

I am sure that there is more to that story than reported.
It smells like a problem with the T3.

using google type in DSC-T11, several websites are offering this product. I'm not sure if you can just walk in to circuit city and buy one though.
