Sony DSC-HX9V Camera, how to turn off autofocus?

Apr 14, 2012 7:43PM PDT

Hi, I just love this Camera, but I want to know is it possible to turn off autofocus when filming movies ?

I know it can be done when taking pictures.

I have tried to find it, without results..
When I enter M mode, I can adjust autofocus, bit this does not apply when making movies..Is there any other option.

I want to film rc airplanes, and the best way to do it now is to choose "landscape" in the modes, it sets the focus to far away but still autofocus sometimes, I want to manually set the focus far away when filming.

I have no experience with the HX9V. But after looking at the manual, you might try the sports mode in video, using a half press of the shutter to focus while shooting.
