Sony Digital DSC-H1 Cyber-shot Help!

May 12, 2006 11:24AM PDT

I recently purchased the Sony DSC-H1 Cyber-shot, and when I download the photos, they show up as 16 photos of the same thing in one frame. I've tried several photo editing programs to see if that made any difference, but they all show as 16 duplicates on one frame. They print that way too. I've read the manual cover to cover, tried every setting, and I'm out of options. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this problem?

I have never heard of this problem, and can find no one reporting such a problem.

I suggest that you contact Sony Service.

I contacted Sony Service, and found out that the problem occurs when capturing images in the multi-burst mode. On some settings, the multi-burst mode becomes disabled and I can take regular photos. But, try as I might, I can't disable the multi-burst mode on the others. The camera loses a good deal of its value for me as I normally shoot in the settings that have the multi-burst mode on. I'm going to work with this some more and see if I can get the multi-burst mode off--but after 7 tries, I'm beginning to think I'm a ludite!
Thanks anyway.
