Sony DCR-VX2100E MiniDV to computer

by dottjt / January 16, 2012 2:13 PM PST

It's impossible, I've tried everything and it simply won't connect to the computer. I'm using a fire-wire cable connected from the camcorder to the pc. It won't pick up anything.

Computer on; camcorder off.
Connect the firewire cable to the camcorder's DV port and the computer's firewire port.
Camcorder on to Play/VCR mode.
Launch the video editing application in the camcorder.
From the video editing application, select Import or Capture.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
