Yes... that's what video editing applications do. MovieMaker, Sony Vegas, Pinnacle Studio, Adobe Premiere, AVID, there are lots of them.
Video takes a lot of space on your hard drive. You seem surprised. You shouldn't be. This is normal. An external hard drive is generally recommended for video project work storage.
I connected the dock station & copied the videos into my PC. They were in MPEG-2 format. When I did that I got multiple MPEG-2 files. Instead can I merge all of them to a single mpeg4/real video etc..?
I do not want to write all of them to a DVD at this time, because all of my MPEG-2 files together will be around 150 MB.
Please Suggest.
