sony DCR-HC38

I was just given this camcorder. I opened the compartment for the cassette tape. I pressed open. Now I can't close it! I read the manual and pushed on the back of the cassette. It won't go anywhere.

Usually a sign of bad tape or bad camcorder.

It was donated. I tried several different tapes so it must be the camcorder. Thanks.

Nothing in life is free. Or when it is, be suspicious.
