Ok, Nobody it seems reads the book that came with the camera. I'm not picking on you, but this same problem gets posted many times a day, just take a look.
So you need to get a firewire cabel and read this link. John

I'm sorry... but I've already read the book before I use, maybe I missed the text line talking about this. I'll try to read later...

So the conclusion is have to use firewire cable to get video+sound ?
But, when I used Windows Movie Maker, it works !!! but, the picture quality is bad and dark Sad

btw, thanks for your help Happy

No audio on USB to VCD copy (not Firewire to DVD)
Jun 15, 2005 1:16AM PDT

OK, so I guess you (jcrobso) don't know how to do it either, huh?

Anyway, I have the same problem. I've made VCD's successfully this way in the past, but I just tried it again, and the recording is oddly silent. I'm probably overlooking something obvious. The manual says (on pg. 12) to "select another audio device" if there is no sound. But that advice is no help.

If anyone out there has some truly relevant and helpful suggestions, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
