Sorry, bro, not much to do but start looking for a new one. Had a similar experience with my Sony mini DV cam. Sent it in under warranty under the wire (expires in 2 weeks) through Bestbuy. They couldn't fix it for less than what it was worth so they gave me a replacement. They said it was the processor. It's the first time an extended warranty paid off.
My camcorder is a 2006 model Sony DCR DVD 105 and has a problem.
Anytime power is on, the screen and the viewfinder show vertical light bars instaed of the actual images. everything else on the camcorder works fine. Sounds like a processor to me but the cost to have Sony fix it would be just shy of a new unit.
Anyone experience anything like this?
Thanks...
