Sony Cybershot DSCW1 - Removable Storage?

Nov 16, 2004 11:02PM PST

I cannot seem to make my XP (Home) OS recognise my Sony Cybershot as a "Device with Removable Storage". Therefore, I am unable to upload images back to the memory stick which is inconvenient as I do not have a CD Writer. I also assumed that I would be able delete and organise images on my camera from my laptop without the need to download the images to my hard drive first. Can anyone help?

Some cameras can't do that. I have a HP that only is noted and usable with HP's software. Yours may be one of those type cameras.

In your post you want a feature that may not exist. So you may have to get a card reader.

That's not how it works. The stick was designed to download from your camera not upload from your computor. It's like the people who think that they can compare pixels to dots per inch on the printer.
