Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50, Olympus SP-570UZ, Nikon Coolpix P80

I am looking for an upgrade of my Sony Cyber Shot T10, I really need a friendly user camera that offers mega zoom to capture nice close ups of my one year old child, within a price range of 400 USD, I have 3 candidates: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50, Olympus SP-570UZ and Nikon Coolpix P80, please advice on which will be a better option and why?

Thanks a lot for your help!!

Great comparison, list down to the Olympus and the Sony

Thanks a lot for the coparison chart is very useful. I am now only between Olympus and the Sony, I am a Sony user but the Olympus sounds as a great option too(altough it needs the firmware upgrade). Any final recommendation considering size/weight and easy to use??

Thanks!!

Well...

I've seen the Sony in action. My boss picked one up & used it at a baseball game & got INCREDIBLE pictures! They were so good, you'd swear he'd taken them standing on the field & not from the seats. the controls are essentially the same as (some of) the older models (I have a T9, but now want the H50 ;-). The size of the camera is moderate & it doesn't seem as though it's overly heavy. It does have some weight to it, but it isn't bulky by any means.

So that's my experience with the Sony. Happy

Dear Lonewolfette9847,
Many thanks for your input, my boss has one as well and we were in a business trip in the Amazons and he got some very nice pictures as well.

I am almost there for the Sony, I just wanted to make sure this was right one.

Thanks!!

Hi NeverforgetJeff,
Thanks for the reco. I had the Panasonic in mind as well. I finally went for the Sony and I just love it!! For an amateur as I am the H50 is just great with a decent price of 360.

Thanks a lot!!
