Sony Camcorder

In 2000 I purchased a sony DCR-PC5, used it a lot for family. I use it for family only. Was wondering if I would see a great improvement in Video in the newer models, is it worth replacing with another camera.

I assume that this is a MiniDV camera??? The newer models are smaller some are hard to hold and use since they are so small. As long as it's working then use it.
If it's a Hi8mm model(?) yes the MiniDV cameras will give a much better picture.
DON'T EVEN LOOK AT DVD CAMERAS,, they are junk. John

Thanks,, Yes it is a Mini DV, we are going to Alaska in June for a two weeks and I felt this camera did not offer the best picture when it comes to back ground.
