Google BAD CAPS and one of the many symptoms is that it doesn't work when first turned on and after it's warmed up, works.
This area is well discussed and I find those that own a solder iron and are willing to do the research might fix it themselves. The rest of the folk just arrange for repair.
Hope this helps,
Bob
My TV often has overlapping, almost like its in both HD and non-HD mode. The status bar at the top which displays the time and input even duplicates. This happens for all HDMI inputs. If we leave the TV on constantly, if doesn't happen, but about half of the time when turning it ON from OFF, the overlapping happens.
I have to do a restart (holding up arrow on remote while hitting power button on TV) to fix the issue. Sometimes this takes 5-10 tries, going through the motions of a factory setup. We want to replace the TV with a newer one and move this TV into a bedroom, but then I obviously can't leave it on all the time, and it would be useless if I had to restart over and over each time I want to watch it.
Any idea what this issue is or how I could fix it?
