I could not pass up all the features, even if it is not the very top of the line picture quality rating.Still looks damn good straight on; and got WIFI dongle and LDNA for great price. Now that I am set up, and find the viewing angle a bit annoying over CRT, I am wondering if there are any settings, that may improve the hazy washed out look, at about 30 degrees and beyond? I am up and about a lot, while watching TV. I pumped up the color a bit, and that might have made a marginal difference....but Plasma was not really an option, so LED was my best bet. The only ones in the store that did not wash or fade(as much) with angle viewing at the stores; seemed to be some of the Vizio LED....but that could have been settings, and store set-up as well. I am also noticing that the lower resolution picture fades with viewing angle more, and the flash-light affect is worse. Once I get HD service on everything, that should help. I also notice huge difference with these aspects(viewing angle and uniformity of image) in content from program to program, even scene to scene. I was surprised at the difference. You can go from the cyron generated news, to the field cameras or commercials, and not only change resolution; but vastly different picture qualities. I am also not understanding the smaller screen aspect ratio, that looks like a 16:9 shrunken down; are they just cheating the band-with here or what? Where does this ratio come from so much? It seems a way of sending HD, at 2/3 the size. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Any Ideas on limiting the viewing angle fade out, besides getting a Plasma, or sitting in a 20 degree viewing field? Thank you?
