The first thing to check is the lens.
Change to a different lens and see if the problem is resolved.
If you don't have another lens, check the front of the lens (glass) and make sure there are no fingerprints or residue on the lens.
Clean as necessary.
It is possible that you may have a failing camera.
But, you may just have inadvertently set something that is causing the problem.
I suggest you reset the camera to factory settings.
Look at page 104 (Reset Default) of the User Guiide/Troubleshooting.
If that does not solve the problem you should contact Sony Repair and see about getting a repair estimate.
..
I have noticed that my Sony A100 is just started taking photos that have way too much red and green in them and progressing to look more and more grainy........
Does this mean my camera has died and I should just get a new one? or can it be fixed by a repairer?
thanx for you help.......
