Her is link to just one post talking about the new Sony and JVC LCos sets.
I have seen both of them and they beat ANY LCD or DLP. John
I have been researching rear projection microdisplay TVs for several weeks now, and I have narrowed my search down to the Sony A10 LCD or the Toshiba 52HM95 DLP. I have spoken to several salespersons at different retailers, and read many articles, website discussions, ratings, etc.. and have a pretty good grasp on the pros and cons of LCD vs. DLP, but I am still having trouble making a decision.
The salespeople at Best Buy almost all recommend the Toshiba DLP (though they all admit that both are very good RPTVs and are quite comparable), but the person I spoke with at Circuit City recommends the Sony LCD (although they don't carry Toshiba!). When I see them both in the showroom, the Sony looks crisper and brighter, but I can occassionally see the "screen door effect". The Toshiba seems a little grainier to me but many people prefer DLP to LCD.... HELP!!!!
I would greatly appreciate any feedback regarding these two sets, in comparing them in image quality, resolution, fan noise??, reliability and maintenance issues, and sports viewing, and picture quality in viewing non-HD programming.
Thank you very much! Jim
