Sonic RecordNow - problems with burning an image

Aug 19, 2005 12:10PM PDT

I have Sonic RecordNow v7 that came with my Dell computer. I have a burned an image file (*.ISO) that I want to burn to DVD. If I go to the Data Projects tab, I can select the file, but when it copies it to the DVD, it is as an *.ISO file, not the image.

If I go to the Back-Up Projects tab (double disks), I can only select Exact Copy (but only allows me to select a DVD drive, not the file saved to my PC), or I can select "Upgrade - Back Up Your Computer" and it takes me to a web site.

My friend has this application that came with her Sony PC, and she has an option to browse for the file on her PC, select and burn. How can I get this functionality added? Is there a shareware program that can burn an image file to a DVD to play on a DVD player?

CDBURNERXP - installed - but size limitation of 4.2gig?
Aug 22, 2005 1:38PM PDT

I installed CDBURNERXP fine. When I selected the *.ISO image to burn to DVD, I was given a message indicating that files larger than 4.2 gig were not supported. My image is 4.6 gig.

Suggestions? I would like to use as much dvd space AS POSSIBLE. thx - jj

Sorry, you'll have to tell the full story.

How did you create such an image? But if you must, just use a dual layer media for this one.

Best of luck,
