And frankly what if it's the connection to the speaker or headphone jack? Then it's not a software issue at all.

I will be so thankful if someone could help me with this terribly annoying problem I have been having for the past month. Sometimes my phone works just fine and the sound works on it and other times I lose all sound completely. Here are the things that won't have sound...hearing calls or them hearing me, no ringtone or alarm sounds. My apps don't have sound and I can't listen to videos. Then magically I will have sound again for anywhere from an hour to a couple of days. I have a Samsung Burst and everything is updated on it. I did a complete system reset and that solved the problem right away but the next day the sound when out again. It seems like there is some kind of bug in my phone but I don't know how to fix it. Please please please help
