something sapping my vista business64

It started when I noticed a huge amount of disk activity and I wasnt running any aplications. It looks like a script that i made to open infinte amount of notepads, but this is different, I cant even tell what its opening(there is no name for the program in the bottom bar, almost like and empty window that dissapears) and its hidden from task manager also. 100% cpu. It only stops if i log out. I thought it might be because of some services I stopped/didnt need. has anyone else seen this and know what to do?

Virus scan?

Have you ran a virus scan at all? I?d suggest starting there, in case it is some sort of malware or malicious code.
