I wasn't saying that the member was odd, but that there are some inconsistencies about the profile. You've surely posted more than 4 messages since you joined?!

And since registration is based off of when the person registered with CNET, rather than the CNET forums in particular, that's the reason for this date.
Since TalkBack throughout CNET uses Jive also, his post totals are of the forums and TalkBacks combined. Eventually profiles will be set up for TalkBacks also. And these current profiles will be used for all CNET COmmunity related activities.
I hope this clarifies things.

Perhaps the search only picks up the postings under a new name when one changes it? Because it is J as Glenda says, he's posted close to the hundreds shown as "total posted," not just the four found by the search. Hopefully this won't be a problem much longer since you're going to "lock in" names soon, but it does cause a problem...

I'm using your profile as an example to show a problem in the Profiles, not with you! The profile says you've made several hundred posts since you joined (which you've verified here), but when you click the link to see them, only four are shown. That's a problem with the profiling software!

stem from other CNET community areas which doesn't necessarily reflect the forums only. Other instances would be CNET TalkBacks which uses Jive software also and since he is using the same registered info to post to two community areas, it is tallied as one lump sum of posts. So while only 4 post of his only show up in search results, the other couple of hundred post are TalkBack posts which are not surfaced in search.
This forum profile page of ours will eventually track all community activities which go beyond the CNET forums itself and will be redesign to show the specified total number of posts to which community property --whether it be the forums, TalkBacks, or User Opinions... I hope this clarifies things a bit.
Thanks,

putting catgic in the search hopper spews out 19 (or 21) messages posted by you as of this date and time...
i.e. only messages posted under your current ID...
