something happens to my word

hi, maybe somebody can help me, when I use word it works horribly slow, every word I type appears some time after, it happens the same with every function.I use windows 98 and office 97. thanks a lot.

Delete normal.dot?

For a lot of Word problems, it helps to go into Windows Explorer and delete all occurences of normal.dot you can find.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
