The right answer appears to be "bring my wallet" and visit a repair shop.
Hello! Something happened with my BMW. The engine began to run unevenly, appeared to vibrate, and the oil consumption increased. Has anyone encountered this problem?

1) possible blown head gasket or warped head, allowing oil to be sucked into the combustion chamber. Look for increase smoke from tailpipe. Pull dipstick, taste one drop of oil on tongue for sweetness, then spit out. If sweet, then indicates head gasket leak of antifreeze into oil. Check radiator and reservoir for floating engine oil, which also means blown head gasket.
2) Bad intake valve, allowing oil past the valve guide. Valve may also be cracked or a piece chipped off.
3) Blown rings on a piston, allowing oil into combustion chamber and creating piston sounds, rough running.
4) Bad rear engine seal and worn rear engine bearing. Can cause loss of oil and crankshaft wobble (vibrations)
