Someone is cloning my facebook profile

Jul 14, 2017 4:53PM PDT

Hi, i don' know if this is the right place to post this. I searched all over the internet but didn't fine a good solution. For 3 weeks now, some of my friends on facebook are receiving multiple friends requests from fake accounts with my name and/or picture. Requests are from 20 profiles/day up to 50 profiles with my name.. i warned all my friends ofcourse but it doesn't stop. I found out other people that o don't even know are receiving those requests. I think now it's been like over 500 profiles. I mention that my profiles is completly private, pictures, posts, friend list. I only have 300 friends that i really know in person so nobody could have done that. i also have screenshots from my friends and you can see a request every 3-5 mins up tp 50 requests. Facebook cant help me.. they keep telling me to report. My friends are already bored to do so.. and now those profiles are blocking me and i cant even see them . I tried to search them up with other profiles but they seem invisible.. any ideas on what is going on?Thank you

Since Facebook is an open system folk can do this and outside of you staying off Facebook for a while or telling friends you don't send messages via FB all you can do is report them.

Yeah i did try to close my account for 48 h but nothing. But the thing that i really don't understand is how can one make 20 profiles and send request so often to so many people. My frieds kept reporting those but after a time they get bothered and maybe they will delete me .. and keep receiving requests. Todays there were 20 already from this morning Sad

If you have 300 friends...

...then someone is envious of your popularity I'd suspect. Identity Theft is a crime, why not contact police about it? Anyone doing that needs investigating anyway. Let the police deal with facebook and find the perp.

Thx

I will try to do that now because a lot of people is bothered about this. I doubt anyway they can do anything.
