Question

Someone asked me to clarify the W10 Upgrade X bug.

Jun 28, 2016 2:45PM PDT
http://mashable.com/2016/06/28/windows-10-upgrade-snafu-analysis covers it.

"In the far left upper left corner is a static Windows logo and "Get Windows 10." Opposite it, on the right side, is the traditional Window minimize icon and, next to that, a white "X" on a red button. That button, that "X", should mean close without taking any action. That's what it means in virtually all other Window's dialog boxes. That's what it has meant since at least Windows 95, probably earlier, and dialogs in most other OSes work the same. In fact, one could argue that Microsoft invented this particular interface metaphor. "

Microsoft made an awful choice here.

Remember I'm having nothing but good luck with W10 upgrades. 100% good here but I know to have a clean machine going in.

So there it is folk. Not a good play Microsoft.

It was good to read the 10,000 dollar loss.

But really, change the Red X behavior again?!

I'll be clear. I like W10. Works for me.
I don't like how the Red X works and for those folk that can't move up, are easily tricked.

I still have a win7 machine that I'm going to keep, no problems there.
