somebody help me out on this one..

Oct 10, 2008 8:40AM PDT

I know this is probably the wrong section but lately i've ran into the infamous anti virus 2010(My father was on the computer and he somehow got the virus)

when i came home I found it.. tryed to delete it, ran all the programs I had couldn't get rid of it so I had a friend give me a flash drive with a few programs, It got rid of it somewhat, but not all..

I cleaned out most of the regristy files the virus had, and I havn't had internet access to anything on that computer since the virus, i'm wondering what could be blocking it?

My lan is running, at about 100mb it sends about 500 packets to even receive a few.. Ive ran lspfix, flushdns.. the whole nine yards I just can't get access on this computer..

does anything think they know why? ports? anything I will run a hjt and post here I'm just wondering if anyone has any other kind of fix for my problem.. thanks

viperwon..

Did run MBAM in safe mode? And did you also try scanning with the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware? I don't know if the WinSockFix was included in your "whole nine yards", but it may be worth a try. (Note: It's designed to fix the winsock settings for Windows XP)

Give it a little time. You'll no doubt, get additional suggestions. You mentioned posting a HJT log here. The only thing I do know for sure, is that we don't analyze them here. See this sticky at the top of forum. It includes the instructions and places which do analyze them, should you eventually decide to take that route.

Best of luck to you..
