Hi, Dan.

I still recall when my wife and I drove from Washington to Boston for Christmas one year back in the late 70's, and there hanging in the early morning star (we drove at night when we were younger, to avoid traffic and traffic cops) was a comet that for all the world looked like the "star" in "Do you hear what I hear?" -- "with a tail as big as a kite!" I have no idea what comet it was -- I don't believe it was one of the well-know periodic ones.
