Some of the most advanced Adobe Photoshop Images ?

Aug 9, 2006 3:17PM PDT

that I have ever viewed. One of my friends sent these to me. I will try to find out who the artist is. These images are incredible.
Anyone want to discuss these images?
I did change the names of the file in place of having an image listed image123456,jpg. etc.
Here they are and hope you enjoy them:

Anyone want to send in their work and comment on how they did it?
Hard to compare with with these examples, but try to.

Any before and after examples?

And make sure that you let us know what version of Adobe Photoshop that you are using. Can be PC or Mac. Same program.

Just to start the ball rolling, I will be the dummy here.
Don't boo me.

Here is an example of a daylily and an orchid blossom being manipulated in Photoshop V6. On a Mac.
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/7887/bbcarolinathingtwolayers9lx.jpg

I chose a new transparent layer and pasted in an orchid blossom part that was silhouetted and sized to fit. Changed the angle and added layer by layer also changing the angle of the blossom with each layer. Finally I flattened the image layers to make one layer in order to make a smaller resolution file.
Looks real enough. Took me about an hour start to finish.
I love flowers and Hemerocallis (Daylilys)

I will bet that the images shown above and by a master, for example, took many hours and well worth it. Just awesome.

Holy Mackeral Joe!!
Good for you to provide that info.
I think that these people are the best there is on this planet.
Just awesome work.
Joe, I did bookmark this site. Just great work on their part.
I really am a beginner compared to these experts.

One question to you. What is your favorite site to view fabulous photos?
I happen to love great photographers.
Ansel Adams in my mind was a genious.
Imagine what he could do today if he were still here!?
Any great sites for Ansel Adams also?

Holy mackerel!! Don't you just love great work.
Kind of humbles one's self.

Grim, post your vacation on your web site. I want to view the photos.
Or, send me a few and I will send a few new ones from the architecture of Turkey. New ones that you have not viewed. Either way, I will send you new images to you.
Your next vacation: Istanbul and Hagia Sophia.
Do it!

And this one of a young female camel in Cappadoccia.
A mid location in the center of Turkey. Their winters are near 40 degrees below zero. Mountain Region.
She is my new girl friend. They are so beautiful to view.

Fun Photoshop
Aug 17, 2006 4:26AM PDT

I found a couple tutorials online the other day and put some time in to make this.

http://www.klief.com/gallery/system.jpg

It's a recent creation and yes it's also my icon here on cnet.

In short I created each element as an individual image and put them together to create the whole composition.

Working with CS2 on a PC (ick! I prefer my mac but they only have a PC here at work.)

Using the tutorials at:

http://www.absolutehype.com/tutorials.htm

I found one that makes a sun and did that for exercise. Then I messed around with the electric swirl to create the blue orbit line.

There's another tutorial for a planet and then another for a starfield.
