Some lcd mini-tv advice, please

by toulouse2k / January 15, 2007 11:44 PM PST

Posters here seem to be an mature & intelligent lot. I spend a few hours a day at my drawing board and decided it would be nice to have a very small lcd tv to keep me company (kind of like a small, deranged relative perched on my drawing board). I need it to be cable capable and around a 4"-9" screen and available in the U.S. Any recommendations? Any I should avoid? Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

7" LCD TV/DVD/MP3 from Radio Shack $110 - I got one, luv it!
by robstak / January 16, 2007 11:59 PM PST

It's no HDTV, but I got one from RS about a year ago and I absolutely love it. The picture quality isn't great (typical SDTV), but it's really slim and made the perfect TV/alarm clock for my nightstand.

If you flip the screen down it reveals a DVD tray. It plays DVD's, MP3 CD's, even Picture Slideshows!! (I use it as a digital picture frame when I'm not watching TV). It has an AM/FM/TV alarm clock with a cool blue hue. two headphone jacks and RCA video input (I've played xbox on it!!). It has a super-slim bose-like remote.

I think this is an unbelievable deal for around 100 bucks. It's branded Accurian, but looks EXACTLY like a Smasung(?) one posted on Gizmodo around the same time.

I can't find it on the radioshack website, but I swear I saw it this weekend, and it was on sale for 110ish. If you live near a radishack, I'd definately check it out.

My only gripe is that I can't hang it on a wall because the coax input is on the back.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
