Solved: Samsung 55" LED UN55KU6300F not turning on

Jul 21, 2018 8:07PM PDT

Our 2 year old Samsung un55ku6300f (from 2016) started to decide to not turn on occasionally. The times when it wouldn't turn on became more and more frequent until it just stopped turning on at all. The red standby light is still on, and would blink off for a second when we hit the power button, then turn back on. We tried replacing the power board first, and no cigar. We replaced the main board, and viola! We are now up and running. FYI: the main board is screwless and it took us an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to unhook it from the TV. It just clips in, so just lift the board over the four bumps, then slide toward the side of the TV. It will slide right off. It was easy to find the correct replacement parts on shopjimmy. com. As always, remember to treat all connectors and data ribbons with respect.
