Solar Astronomy and a suitable telephto lens.

Jun 13, 2005 9:04AM PDT

As I move into Digital Photography, from using my Pentax Super A Camera. The lens I use specifically for Solar Astronomy is a Zoom 15 X to 60 X Magnification, with equivalent f stops from f16 to f64, which represents Focal lengths from 1000mm to 4000 mm using an 60mm Object lens. The adapter I use is a ?Ka? quick screw fit to my camera
I find to get the Full image on a 35mm film of the Sun?s disc a maximum focal length of 1400mm or 20X mag is needed.
My question to the panel sound easy, but is it?

What Digital Camera can give the equivalent 20 X Magnification or 1400mm, if not available, what camera could take my Ka screw mount telephoto terrestrial lens?
