Jul 5, 2007 12:45PM PDT

Hello,I have a year old Gateway computer with Windows XP, I tried to install my older software I purchased 3 years ago, but it won't install, when it's trying to install it times out. Its get to about 40% then nothing, Firewall and virus software turned off also. The program is installed and working fine on my other computer that's also using windows XP? Any help would be great!

It's much like you asking about installing some part on your car but not telling what part.

Sign Program

Sorry about that, The program is for designing and cutting vinyl graphics for signs, vehicles, etc. I have another computer that has the program currently installed with the security key and it installed fine. I also tried my older sign program that I don't use , which was used with windows 98, it did the same thing.
I put in the disk, prompted for serial number, typed in serial number, starts installing, the guage that shows percentage comes up goes to 40% then just stays there, then dissapears after a few minutes. The older program doesn't get to 40% it's to about 20% then stops installing.I have had both programs installed on my previuos computers and experieced no problems installing?

Flexi and other sign software.

I've run into those but since the name is not shared I can't do much other than note some of the older 98 versions did have install issues. A call to it's maker usually straightened it out. What I did find was that most of the sign makers didn't want to make that call. Since we didn't have an issue about that we made the call, fixed it and added that to the bill to the sign maker. It seemed a shame since they could have done it themselves.
