To increase or decrease the volume level, when the file is opened in VirtualDub go to Audio and select Full processing mode, and under Video select Direct stream copy. Now select Volume from the Audio menu and adjust as you wish.
Free and I'm sure there are others out there.

I have several files of about 2 minute clips from movies I've created using AoA DVD Ripper. The problem is that when I burn them all onto the same DVD the volume varies a lot. Some are whisper quiet, some are ear-splittingly loud. When I first rip them I can specify if I want the volume at 50% of normal or 150%, but once the file exists there's no way to change that. All the video editing software I have found (I primarily use AVS Video Editor but have tried numerous other programs in search of one with this feature) will let me change the volume of all of the clips on a DVD together, but not individually. Is there anything that can do this? Please help.
