Question

Software to monitor status of multiple wifi networks

Apr 20, 2015 5:34AM PDT

Hey Guys,
I'm in need of a bit of software that will not only monitor multiple wireless networks but will alert me if one or more of them go offline.

The scenario at my workplace is as such:
We have one 4G hub on which we all connect to the web. We have a 2nd 4G hub to which our internet phone system is connected.
During the course of the day it's obvious if our web connection goes down (people start complaining) but if our phone connection goes down it might be some time before it gets noticed and as such, anyone calling in will not get through.

Does anyone know of some software i can keep running that will alert me (either with a noise or a popup window) when the network in question goes down?

Thanks in advance!

I've found this to require hardware too.

Answer
how about an email?

check the router, see if it has a send mail service programmed into it. If so, then you can set for certain events to have an email sent to an address of your choice. On my router it's in System Settings.
