Question

Software to forward all the old emails

Sep 12, 2014 2:57PM PDT

Hi,

I am about to graduate from my school and have 1000s of emails in inbox and sent items - both in ost and pst files. Since I wont have access to them after some time, I am looking for a software that can forward all my emails to my gmail.

I have two questions:
1. Is there a software that you guys know of?
2. Am I attempting to do something really complicated? Do you have an easier solution by which I can access the emails in future?

Thanks,
Hungrypanda.

Not really complicated...

Hello,
I don't think its really complicated. The software that I know of is called Mail Forward. I haven't used it personally, but when I was researching for something similar a while ago, it seemed pretty simple to use. The only issue is that the free-trial only lasts 30 days. After that I think it was around $20.

Sorry, I don't know of an easier solution!

Easy solution for OST to PST conversion
Jan 7, 2015 1:36PM PST

First of all, I think I am late for answering this question but, if you still follow this post, may be this solution help you to resolve your issue.

You should know that Microsoft does not provide any free facility for this conversion. However, you can easily do this by just following these steps:

1. Start Outlook. Make sure you can access all the contents in the OST file to be converted.
2. Create a new PST file.
3. Go to the OST file, select and copy all the contents to be converted with your mouse.
4. Go back to the new PST file, then paste all the contents into the PST file

Good Luck Happy

Since the ost- and pst-files are on your PC already, there's no need to do anything.

You can look in your files without having an Internet connection. That proves that you can also have a look into those same files without having an e-mail account at school. You can't send and receive new mails when that account is ended, but that's no issue and the old ones stay accessible.

Don't forget to make a backup of those files. They can't be refreshed any more from the server!
