Question

Software to download Olympus audio recorder .wav files?

Jul 14, 2015 10:42AM PDT

I have an Olympus digital audio recorder (VN-960PC) that refuses to download to my desk- or laptop PC's (both 64 bit running Windows 7), even though they both have Olympus' software installed. The computers take no note of the recorder when I attach it to either one.

Anybody have any suggestions for non-Olympus software/shareware that will communicate with the recorder, so I can download audio files into my computer and play them back on VLC or other media program?

You may find installing an older OS in Virtual Box then using the USB in that virtual OS will work HOWEVER I can only suggest this. Not write a step by step how.
