Software / Technique For Entry Removal Under 'Startup' Tab.

I am seeking either software or a technique which will remove entries under the 'Startup' tab of the 'System Configuration Utility' of my computer (which is normally accessed by typing 'msconfig' into 'Run' from 'Start' on Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition).

Even though I often use 'msconfig' to uncheck the boxes in 'Startup' so as to prevent the entries from loading, many times these will reactivate and then cause problems.

All or any assistance with my enquiry would be greatly appreciated.
