Software suggestions for Canon HD Camcorders

I just got the Canon HF20 which is an HD camcorder that uses flash media. I am wanting to make dvds that are capable of playing on my blu ray. Does anyone have software suggestions? I'm not into editing too much but the software that comes with canon camcorders is horrible!! Ive heard the same from many others as well..
