It seems unlikely the problem is in the video card, if that shows what you expect, and nothing else like stripes or false colors or a black screen. The video card software (drivers) defines what you see and if you see it correctly, but not what happens behind the screen, so to say, if you click on something and the application program reacts correctly with highlighting the page.
It could be the printer driver, but it seems more likely to be a problem in the application. Did the check the registry for any leftovers after you uninstalled the application? And are you sure you're doing the right things right?
If
a) the application after installing works correctly on another computer, and
b) works incorrectly on this computer even after uninstall/clean registry/install of application, and after remove/install of printer driver, and
c) you're mot aware of changing anything relevant on this machine since the last time it worked, and
d) helpdesk and website of maker of program offer no help.
then (all four conditions being true) I'm afraid you must try a format/reinstall of Windows 98 as a last resort. That should help, although it's a mystery why it should do.

Have financial software program that aaai have a problem with. Have tool box that I double click on pages to select or deselect to add to final solution before printing or veiwing. When I double click on these pages, they are highlighted, but do not select or deselect. I have totally uninstalled software and installed again, same problem. Software teck says the problem is in video card! Can that be right? Help!!!!!
I am using 98SE, a SIS 315 Video card, Have 512 ram,AMD XP2100.
