software gave me a problem

hi,plugged in the receiver of my logitech LX8 mouse to my macbook pro and it worked fine then i realised i didnt have all the functions so i downloaded the software from the internet (logitech)then i noticed that when i was scrolling there was light and dark shading and a slight fuzziness to the text,even using the trackpad it was the same,i took out the software and it seems fine now,it worked fine on my pc and its mac compatible,any thoughts?
