Hi,
I have Excel 97 on my PC (Windows 7) but it really does a lot of things I don't need, with complicated formulas and sigmas and such.
I would like to find a simple checkbook register--enter the information, add or subtract each amount--and it automatically does the math for each entry.
I recall a program called Money from many years ago that did exactly what I want to do. Does anyone know if it's still available, name of publisher, or some other simple software for me to use with Windows 7?

what I do use is a program for creating check registers, because I got tired of the small area they had in the ones you get from the bank. I also didn't like the column set up in them. I just looked on my old computer and couldn't find it, so probably removed it after printing up enough they've lasted me some years. I noticed I'm on the last one recently, so will have to make up some more soon.

What would I ever do without you? Okay... What is the formula, or how do I find the formula? I have Excel 97 which is old, so it may not do what newer versions can do.

If you can find a free program that satisfies your needs, that's fine. I use Quicken and like it. It has a good checking register, you can pay your bills online, and you can create just about any kind of report you want with it. Money was Microsoft's attempt at competing with Quicken, but they dropped it several years ago (2008?).
