And I've been at this for decades.
The "scan" would be a bitmap with none of the data you get from your normal schematic entry. But we did pop for getting such scans performed and used various graphical editors to paint on a small change rather than re-enter the schematic in the company's CAD tools.

I am searching for a product or program that I can use to scan electrical schematics, edit these schematics, and then reprint. I have used Smartdraw 7 and I am in the process of buying this CD. Smartdraw is good for designing electrical schematics, but I have an elevator service company and thousands of different drawings I use, I dont want to draw ach and everyone of these schematics. I am wondering if there is some kind of software I could use to scan one of the drawings, make minor changes to it, and then reprint it for field use.
