Software for DVD

Nov 13, 2009 11:08AM PST

I want to convert all my VHS tapes to DVD.

I have a new HP pc that is now running Vista.

What software would you recommend for a novice to try this project?

Best way is to buy a double deck system that has VHS/DVD in it and copy that way. That's assuming that you're talking about your own VHS movies. Commercial tapes won't copy. Running tapes into a computer requires a video capture card of some kind with inputs and then saving the file to your hard drive (HUGE FILES) and then burning those to DVD.

I really like Corel Videostudio X2 pro...
But you would need some way to capture it. Which there are pretty cheap units out there. But its another thing to buy.
