Software for Creating Animated Gifs Easily

Mar 25, 2005 3:35AM PST

What is the best software to produce animated gifs.

I am not looking for anything too complex/long learning curve. I need to create an animated of some dogs laying down, standing up, and walking off of the screen to use in a PowerPoint presentation.

I have searched a number of web sites (Clip Art.com, ClipArtInc. etc.) that offer animated gifs but I can not find anything close to what I need.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Software for Scrolling GIF

Hello Carol,
The best GIF tool I have seen is:
"GIF Construction Set Pro"
Do a search in google to find it.
It can use very advanced graphics algorithms or be used quite simply if that's all you need.

It doesn't do one thing I want though. Maybe someone out there knows of a GIF animation tool that will do this...
I have a GIF that is 120 pixels wide and about 500 tall.
I want to create a GIF animation that is 120X90 and scrolls the larger GIF from top to bottom.
This would be real powerful since it would allow us to use a single large gif to create an animated GIF like a marquee.

Thanks
