Be sure to reveal what DVD player you are using. WMP and REAL don't play DVDs until you install something like WinDVD or other.
Test if your machine plays DVDs by testing it with a GEEXBOX player. Research it with google.com
I'm not sure what's wrong, but I can't get DVD's to play on my Compaq Evo N1000c Laptop. When I pop a DVD (I've tryed numerous DVD's) into the drive, it recognises the DVD, and starts playing it, up to the title menu, when it says there's an error and needs to close. It's the same way in Windows Media Player and Real Player, and I've downloaded the newest audio and graphics drivers as well, with still no luck. When I put audio CD's or software CD's into the drive, they work fine. I'm using Windows XP Professional. Any suggestions?
