After many years of work from electronics to software I've found no one cares if it's in any particular language. Think broader such as "app" and "it does this."
Today I'm "porting" or moving my app to Android. What a fun leap!

Hi, everyone I am a web developer and recently I am thinking about joining the software development. So here are my questions
1) Which programing language is the most popular on windows desktop software development today? What I mean is which programming language is used to develop those desktop software that sales on cnet. I am currently learning c# because I think it is the one, is this true? I also half understand c++ but I think it will be hard to sell those software which is written in c++ because of the license agreement with some of the class packages (I mean reusable classes we included in our software product).
2) which programming language is webware written in? php? javascript? I need to understand more. Is webware involve adobe air + php +html5 + our own web server?
3) what type of business model should a software developer adopted in order to see profit for his or her works on cnet?
thanks for help.
