Does anyone know how to find out what type of socket size i have? i am trying to upgrade my gateway m320 CPU to a pentium M.

Why would i not be able to upgrade my cpu? Gateway offers the same laptop as mine with a pentium M cpu.

basic questions... they know what mother boards and chip sets were used to build this machine...we don't. That having been said, you may be sure that GW used the most cost effective methods to build this machine and I join the others who believe this upgrade is likely impossable.

Since you don't know how to read? It says (Celeron) next to the motherboard. SInce yours is a celeron model, is it not? According to the page, it lists it as 852GM WHICH DOESN"T SUPPORT THE PENTIUM M. THey use different motherboards for PM.
