NOT the latest version of Safari.
Latest version of Safari is 6.0 and appears to require Lion or Mountain Lion to run.
Although the "Techs" tell you that you are not using the latest version of Safari, which is kinda true, I assume these problems did not just start after you updated something.
Depending on your Mac, you could possibly update to Lion or Mountain Lion, but without any details on your machine I can only suggest that it "might" be possible.
Another suggestion would be to try it in another browser, Firefox or Chrome for example. They appear to be supported.

My Apple drop down tells me this: Mac OS X 10.6.8. I am experiencing disabling problems using Social Fixer, on Facebook. The techs tell me that I am not using the most recent version of Safari. My auto-update-enabled Safari reads: 5.7.1. I have gone online and downloaded updates, I have disabled Social Fixer, then reinstalled it. I continue to experience really, just, diabling issues. So, basically I guess I have 2 questions. 1. Am I not running the most current version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard and/or Safari? If not, then what to do? And 2. Any ideas on the Social Fixer program, which has never given me more than minor, temporary problems in the past? I am only moderately computer-savvy, so please keep it relatively simple for me, okay? Thanks so much, Lori
